I’ve been going strong on The Source since the last video update. In the past, the biggest hurdle for me has been doing the writing for each chapter. This is the biggest thing that halted progress for me for so long, I just could never get myself to sit down and actually write. This is a little bit of a problem for a text adventure game, and actually doing the writing for the first chapter was the biggest thing that got me back on track.

I didn’t want to have this same issue with the second chapter, so I made a development schedule for once in my life! I gave myself effectively a month to work on all the writing for the second chapter, and I wasn’t sure if that would be enough time. To my surprise however, this sped up the writing process IMMENSELY. In my effort to complete the writing I needed to within my deadlines, I found that I was able to do writing that I thought would take at least half a week to complete in just a day or two. This made me able to condense my work down to just under two weeks! And it likely would have taken even less time, but I took it a bit slower than normal because my day job was fairly busy for a week in January.
